Itinerary

Day 1Day 1: Cusco – Abra Málaga – Santa María (Biking and Rafting)

We will pick you up from your hotel at 6:00 AM in a private vehicle. We will drive for about 3 hours toward Abra Málaga, located at 4,300 meters above sea level. From this point, we will begin our Inca Jungle Trail adventure to Machu Picchu.

We will descend by mountain bikes for about 2 hours, enjoying breathtaking views of the Andean mountains and cloud forest. We will pass coffee and coca plantations while feeling the fresh jungle air. After our descent, we will reach the small village of Granadillas, where we will pack up and continue by car to Santa María for a well-deserved lunch.

In the afternoon, we will start our rafting adventure on the Urubamba River. This thrilling experience lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes through class III rapids. We will finish the day with a scenic drive of 40 minutes to Santa Teresa, where we will enjoy dinner and stay overnight in a cozy lodge.

After breakfast, we will begin the day with an adrenaline-filled zip line adventure lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes. We will glide above lush valleys and admire panoramic jungle views. This activity is guided by trained professionals who ensure maximum safety and fun.

Next, we will hike for 2 hours through beautiful coffee and fruit plantations. Along the trail, we will see bananas, oranges, mangoes, and avocados. We will also spot waterfalls and the impressive silhouette of Machu Picchu mountain in the distance.

We will reach Hidroeléctrica, where we will continue our hike for 2 more hours along the railway toward Aguas Calientes. We will enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the jungle and the sound of nearby rivers. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will check into our hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening before our final ascent the next day.

We will wake up early for breakfast before starting our final ascent to Machu Picchu. The hike takes about 1 hour from Aguas Calientes to the entrance gate. Once inside, we will enjoy a guided tour lasting about 2 hours through the most important temples, palaces, and sacred sites of the Inca civilization.

Afterward, we will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on our own. Those who wish may climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional, $70 USD per person). In the afternoon, we will descend to Aguas Calientes to board the train to Ollantaytambo. From there, our private transport will return us to Cusco, arriving around 8:00 PM.
